Candice Ingold holds an M.F.A. in Directing from the University of California-Davis and is a CSU Theatre alum with B.A.’s in Performing Arts and Speech Communication. Previously, Candice served as an assistant artistic director intern for Sacramento Theatre Company while teaching acting and directing courses at the University of California. Her recent directing works include Scapin, Bullshot Crummond, Ladies Man, and Spring Awakening, The Musical for OpenStage Theatre Co., Wait Until Dark for Bas Bleu Theatre Co., Comedy of Errors for Colorado State University, In 2003-2004, she received a grant to teach and research drama in thirteen countries. From the poorest neighborhoods in India, Cuba, and Africa, to futuristic looking theaters in Japan and Hong Kong, she researched students’ backgrounds, schools, and drama programs, or lack of drama programs, and introduced drama curriculum into schools while touring and researching the infrastructure of theaters. In 2010, Candice was recognized as the Artist Spotlight for Inside The City-Sacramento B Magazine.
