The Distance From Here (2002) is another take  on the harsh underbelly of human nature. In this intense look at the dark side of American suburbia – a suburban wasteland of white trash in the Northwest that follows the mundane, incenstuous, murderous life of an emotionally impoverished family – Mr. LaBute has written one of his most riveting plays.
