2026 Theatre Visit Day Registration

In-Person Visit Day: Friday, Nov. 13, 2026

Theatre Visit Day is an opportunity for high school students, transfer students, and current CSU students (and parents/guardians) to meet CSU Theatre faculty and students, tour the University Center for the Arts, join themed breakout sessions, eat lunch with current theatre students, and attend a special performance of our fall production. The itinerary includes an overview of our program and degrees.

Event registration is $15/person and includes lunch. After you register, you'll be sent a link to pay for lunch for you and your guests.

School Matinee of Alice by Heart: Friday, Nov. 13, 2026

We invite high school theatre directors and their students to a special presentation of our fall musical, Alice by Heart, Music by Duncan Sheik, Lyrics by Steven Sater, and Book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson.

A young girl takes refuge in a London Tube station during WWII and confronts grief, loss, and love with the help of her favorite book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The production is directed by Noah Racey.

  • Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m.; please check in by 9:45 a.m. The production starts at 10 a.m. and seating is first-come-first-served.

The morning matinee is free for schools to attend but registration is required. If any of your students are staying at the University Center for the Arts for the Theatre Visit Day programming, please have them register individually for the Visit Day event. Also, please do not count them in your numbers for students who are ONLY attending the production matinee.

If you have a student who is staying after the matinee for the Theatre Visit Day programming, please have your student register individually for Theatre Visit Day (link above). Please do not include them in your numbers/names here. This list is crucial not only for our box office records but also for adhering to safety regulations. In the event of an emergency, we must have accurate information about everyone present in the building. We would appreciate it if the list included the following details for each attendee:

Can't make it to Theatre Visit Day?

Prospective student tours are offered most weekdays from 11:15 a.m. to noon. You can sign up for a tour on the Office of Admissions website. Parking passes are available when you register.

We currently offer daily tours at 11:15 a.m., and tours last about an hour. Once you register for a tour, we will reach out via email about additional itinerary options such as a rehearsal observation and show tickets (options vary based on the time of year). Please check your email after you register for your visit!

I just wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to come to the incredible show on Friday [Fall 23 production of Silent Sky]. My students LOVED the show, and it really helped them to see all the "theater stuff" I have been throwing at them during our Shakespeare unit. Please keep me in mind for any other shows that you might do in the future. Everyone there was so happy and the girls giving me a tour seemed happy to be at CSU and were happy to be showing me around. It was a great experience and i cant wait to see more of what CSU has to offer.

Got to have a more personal tour, met one-on-one with a lot of new friendly faces, which I liked!
