Musical Theatre Club

Overview

CSU Musical Theatre Club is a way for college and high school students interested in musical theatre to attend scheduled workshops. With no cost to participate, no attendance requirements, and no experience needed, the club is a great way to be a part of a community that promotes growth and passion in musical theatre.

The CSU Musical Theatre Club is a free, accessible way to attend workshops and connect with others interested in musical theatre. Both CSU students and those living in the Fort Collins area are welcome to join. Members are not required to have any previous musical theatre experience, pay fees, or attend every session. We offer three different sessions for participants: voice, dance, and acting.

  • In the singing session, take the opportunity to showcase a song you’ve been working on, get feedback, learn specific techniques or how to read music, or teach others a song that you wrote.
  • In our acting session, present a monologue or scene, get feedback from others, learn different acting techniques, or teach a scene/monologue that you wrote or directed!
  • During a dance session, you will learn a dance, get feedback from others, learn different dance steps, or teach the class a dance yourself!

At the end of the year, join us for a cabaret-style performance! It will showcase some of the pieces the club workshopped over the year, and is open for anyone and everyone to attend.

Meetings are held at the UCA (University Center for the Arts) in room 238 (the small acting lab). Spring 2026 meetings are TBD.

Office roles include: vice president, acting officer, voice officer, secretary, and three representatives.
