Theatre Video Archive: H.O.P.E. Project
H.O.P.E. Project
As we believe art is the antidote in bleak and difficult times, The HOPE Project challenges our students to engage with pressing contemporary issues:
H – Health
O – Overcoming Oppression
P – Persistence
E – Empathy
A semester of HOPE-based creative projects will culminate in a final concert of student-generated work. Enjoy these interdisciplinary collaborations from across the School of Music, Theatre and Dance.
The videos on this page were created as part of the H.O.P.E. Project and are presented here as bonus material. Enjoy!

H.O.P.E. Project: Solo Dance Pieces
The H.O.P.E. Project Dance Solo Series was created by dance majors currently enrolled in D226 Choreography I, which is supervised by Professor Chung-Fu Chang. Each student choose one of the H.O.P.E. themes, and a pre-recorded piece of music performed by the music faculty, to create a solo dance work. Their creation and beautiful dancing transform a challenge into inspirational energy and healing vibes.
