In other words, Dog Sees God: Confession of a Teenage Blockhead is an “anauthorized parody,” in which playwright Bert V. Royal imagines characters from popular comic strip Peanuts as teenagers.
When Charlie Brown’s dog dies from rabies, Chuck begins to question the existence of an afterlife. His best friend is too burnt out to provide any coherent speculation; his little sister has gone Goth; his ex-girlfriend has recently been institutionalized; and his other friends are too inebriated to give him any sort of solace. But a chance meeting with an artistic kid, the target of this group’s bullying, sets in motion a friendship that resonates with the recklessness of teenage angst.
Contains adult language – not appropriate for youth under the age of 17.
