Auditions & Interviews
In addition to applying to CSU through the Office of Admissions, a completed CSU Theatre application is required to enter the concentrations.
- For all CSU Theatre degrees, prospective students must apply and be accepted by CSU Theatre faculty.
- Current CSU students must also complete a successful audition to change to or add the Theatre Concentration.
- Your program application includes options for scholarship consideration – please see details for each program.
Process for Becoming a CSU Theatre Major
- PART 1: Apply to CSU through the Office of Admissions. We encourage you to apply for admission to the university as soon as possible during your senior year (for fall entry, please apply by Nov. 15 for early action and Jan. 15 for regular decision).
- PART 2: Auditions and Interviews:
- Submit your CSU Theatre program application, and upload your required files for review. The application will open in SEPTEMBER.
- CSU Theatre program applications submitted after the official dates will be considered on a space-available basis.
- PART 3: Results and notifications
- Program decisions will be emailed by March 1 to students who applied, auditioned, and/or interviewed by the final official date. Later audition/interview results will be sent on a rolling basis.
- CSU Theatre scholarships are awarded based on auditions and portfolio reviews submitted to Acceptd. There is no separate audition or review for scholarships. Scholarship notifications will be sent by email by March 15.
